The problem with the Rogers renovation was that the home was very old, and needed a complete makeover. And since the kitchen is one of the best areas to begin any home renovation start, that is where we began. First off, the kitchen footprint area was very small, with zero family space. The area was also very loud, as sound bounced off of everything.
The solution to this issue for the Rogers family was to open things right up, and update the floors, counters and all back splashes. So first off, we went with a very nice open kitchen and family room concept. We then added some eye catching, stylish millwork around the new kitchen footprint, some beautiful, scratch-resistant granite countertops all around, and finally installed wonderful slate tile heated floors. The room was now warm, inviting and large enough for the family to entertain and just hang out.
